Coverage Availability by State

Where Off-Rent and On-Rent Coverage may be available and how origin state is determined.

Overview

Coverage availability depends on the state where the rental originates.
This article explains which states currently support Off-Rent and On-Rent Coverage and how origin state is defined to avoid confusion and reduce support requests.

All coverage is issued and administered by licensed insurance carriers and remains subject to policy terms, conditions, and eligibility requirements.

States Where Off-Rent Coverage May Be Available

Off-Rent Coverage may be available for rentals originating in the following states:

  • Arizona
  • California
  • Georgia
  • Illinois
  • Maryland
  • Texas

Availability depends on vehicle eligibility and carrier approval.

States Where On-Rent Coverage May Be Available

On-Rent Coverage may be available for rentals originating in the following states:

  • Arizona
  • California
  • Georgia
  • Illinois
  • Maryland
  • Texas
  • Florida

Approved Off-Rent Coverage is required before On-Rent Coverage can apply.

What “Rental Originating State” Means

The originating state is determined by where the rental begins.
This is typically based on:

  • The vehicle’s registered operating location
  • The pickup location where the rental starts

Coverage eligibility is based on this originating state, not where the vehicle travels during the rental.

Driving across state lines does not change the originating state for coverage purposes.

Important Notes

  • Coverage availability can differ between Off-Rent and On-Rent periods.
  • Being located in a supported state does not guarantee approval.
  • All coverage remains subject to ongoing eligibility review by the carrier.
  • Additional states may be added in the future as carrier approvals expand.
