Vehicle Deposits and Refunds
How deposits work, when refunds apply, and what to expect after vehicle removal or account cancellation.
Overview
TeqMobility requires a $100 deposit per vehicle added to the platform.
This article explains why the deposit is required, how it is used, and when refunds may apply.
Clear deposit rules help reduce billing disputes and ensure smooth account management.
$100 Per Vehicle Deposit
- A $100 deposit is required for each vehicle added to the TeqMobility platform.
- The deposit supports vehicle onboarding and ongoing account administration.
- Deposits are tied to the account, not to individual rental activity.
Why the Deposit Is Required
The deposit helps cover administrative and processing costs, including:
- Vehicle onboarding and review
- Account and billing processing
- Ongoing platform administration
This ensures vehicles are reviewed properly and accounts remain in good standing.
What Happens When a Vehicle Is Removed
- If a vehicle is removed while your account remains active, the deposit stays on file.
- Keeping the deposit on file helps avoid delays or additional charges if the vehicle is added back later.
- Removing a vehicle does not automatically trigger a deposit refund.
When Is My Deposit Eligible for a Refund
Deposits become eligible for refund only after the account is fully cancelled and all balances are resolved.
After cancellation, a 30-day review period begins. This allows time for:
- Final charges to process
- Outstanding balances to be identified
- Disputes or failed payments to be resolved
Once the review period is complete and no balances remain, any eligible refund is processed.
Can My Deposit Be Refunded Earlier
- Early refund requests may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Early refunds are not guaranteed.
- Reviews consider account history, payment activity, and any prior disputes.
Requests may be submitted to support@teqmobility.com.
Why There Is a 30-Day Waiting Period
The 30-day period ensures:
- All billing activity is finalized
- No unpaid balances remain
- No unresolved disputes exist
This process helps prevent errors, delays, and incorrect refunds.
Outstanding Balance Rules
- If an account has unpaid balances, deposits may be applied toward those amounts.
- Only remaining funds, if any, are eligible for refund after balances are settled.
